For sale at Keumpel Jaguar Classic Cars of Rodermark for 139,000 euros. Amended seller's description below.
www.keumpel-jag.de/en/auto/jaguar/e-type/oldtimer-in-rodermark-YKVFYf.html
Exceptional E Type Series 3 Roadster. Imported from the United States by the last owner in December 1991 who kept it for the next 29 years. At purchase it was in excellent condition, rust free with no welding present, the mileage was 47,857 miles. The speedometer was changed at 50,500 miles to kms speedometer and currently shows 5,101kms, therefore it has driven only 9,354 kms in 29 years. An original vehicle with matching numbers in excellent condition.
The car has been checked and over the years restored to almost new condition. The rear axle, front axle, suspension, wheel bearings, steering, water pump, fuel pump and carburettors have been overhauled. It has a new stainless steel exhaust. It has been converted to European specification with US exhaust gas recirculation and intake manifolds removed. The US bumpers and side indicators have also been removed and the car was repainted in its original colour in 2003.
In 2020 a new battery, cooling hoses, rear axle and alternator were fitted with the engine and gearbox overhauled. A full service was undertaken. In 2023 a new soft top and tonneau cover were fitted. The E Type has excellent handling, and is very fast with high motorway speeds at low revs possible. It comes with classic car historic registration and a Heritage certificate.
