Opening bid $25,000.00 (Reserve not met), no bids yet, 9 days left in auction. 37k miles on the odo. Buy it now price $45k.

Sellers comment:
This is a 1973 Jaguar Model XKE , V-12, 272 horse power, 105 inch wheel base convertible. This vehicle is a beautiful example of a well maintained & very poplular collector car. It has had 3 owners all of whom had babied this car & kept it in a garage safe from the elements. It is a white exterior with a blue leather interior. It has a soft canvas convertible top & wire wheels. The radio has been replaced with a Pioneer stereo, the original radio will also be included with the sale of the car. Alo it still has the original repair & owners manual with it.

Vehicle Condition

Vehicle is mechanically in great condition. It has 37,161 original miles. Engine runs smoothly & brakes excellent. Body and chrome is in good condition too and have never had any work done to them. The car has been re-sprayed in the correct original color. The soft canvas convertible top has been replaced. Interior leather seats & the carpets are original & in very good condition. The trunk is complete.

Added extra numbers based on note from current owner/seller. She also confirmed the engine number stamped into the block matches the number on the data plate.

Thanks for updating the record Ulrich. Looking forward to the new pictures. Did you change the colors or do any updates during the restoration?

Steven,
the exterior color has been changed to Silver and the interior color has been changed to Red. Otherwise the XKE has been totally stripped down and restored from scratch. No updates performed.

Hi Ulrich,

You can just go into the gallery and upload some more. We like to keep all of them because they show the car's history, but we'd love to see what it looks like now!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
