Ebay item 9/3/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-1973-XKE-V12-2-2-Primrose-Yellow_W0QQcmdZV ...
Current bid $8,211.00 (Reserve not met), 7 bids, 6 days left in auction. 47k miles.
Sellers description:
I purchased this '73 2+2 last year for the purpose of using it as a reference for restoring another Series 3 XKE. It was never disassembled, nor were any components removed, altered or replaced. The only work that was done to this XKE was the speedometer cable was replaced and the carbs were adjusted due to running rich. Otherwise, it remains just as it was when purchased. It is a very solid car with no apparent rust nor do I believe it was ever wretched. The car was bought in Idaho from either the second or third owner and trailered here to the Seattle/Tacoma area (hence the rain). The battery and electrical systems appear to be healthy. The car has been sitting in a garage stall and has never needed to be jumped even when started infrequently. The color is Primrose yellow with a black interior. The prior owner installed the Alpine CD deck and speakers otherwise, the car appears to be pretty original except for the color change from Azzura Blue to the Primrose. Car does not smoke (even on startup), runs cooler than others I have had and the brakes/tires/suspension are in very good shape. I'm selling not because I've finished the restoration on the other XKE but, last month I unexpectedly found another one that is a low mileage, all original 2+2 in the exact color combination I want for a "keeper" and not just a reference car.
