1973 Jaguar Series III E-Type 2+2

ESTIMATE: $40,000 - $50,000

CHASSIS NO: UD1S74305

The V12 model offered here is fresh from a complete nut-and-bolt restoration to JCNA standards. With just three owners from new this original survivor placed first in the unrestored category at the 2002 Jaguar Club of Houston Concours d’Elegance. After

that win, this example underwent a complete, meticulous, documented restoration. The original pale primrose paint was removed to bare metal where only two minor occurrences of rust were found. All exterior cosmetics were refinished to the highest of standards and the interior was completely redone to original specifications as well. As expected, the meticulous owner of this very prized example set out on a complete mechanical rebuild. The engine was completely rebuilt including heads, valves, stems, guides, head set, crank collar, gaskets, cam bearings and Teflon seals. A new wiring harness was installed and all engine items were properly chromed or cad plated according to original specification. The same attention was given to the suspension and braking systems and the result is an excellent running and driving example that will also be

welcome at any Concours.

Included with the sale of this vehicle is a 1973 Jaguar “passport to service” brochure, British Leyland eighttrack AM/FM stereo radio owners manual with warranty registration tag, original operating, maintenance and service handbook with emission control system warranty for 1973 and an original letter dated October 6, 1976 from British Leyland UK Limited service and parts division to Mr. Phares, the original owner. We urge close inspection of this fine example.
