Sellers description:
73 Jaguar XKE 12 Cylinder 2+2 Coupe

Vehicle Description
This 1973 Jaguar XKE is British racing green with tan leather interior. Options include auto transmission, wire wheels and air conditioning. It has 41,349 miles which I believe are actual miles. The car was appraised in 1997 for $25,000. This is a good driver but not a show car. I am looking for a resonable price for the car.

Vehicle Condition
The car was serviced by two local specialty shops in the area from 1997 till 2004. Prior to that, I don't have any history. There are many parts and service receipts that will accompany the car. This car looks great from 10 feet away. When you get closer you can pick out minor flaws. There are no big dings or scratches anywhere on the car. The lower air intake is pushed in on the passenger side lower corner. It should be easy to fix it when its up on a lift. The paint is good except for the passenger door which looks like it wasn't prepared for paint properly. The rest of the car is a good repaint done about 7 years ago. There is no rust in the car except for the battery box which is easily repairable. There is some discoloration on the top and bottom of the radiator. I don't believe it is leaking. The chrome is in very good condition. Mechanicaly the motor runs well but has a few oil leaks around the cam boxes. It also has a slight leak from the front input shaft of the differential. The car runs smooth once it warms up. The door panels and dash are in very good condition. The seats and sills are in good condition but should be cleaned and treated. The headliner and carpets are in very good condition. The air conditioning blows cold. I believe all the guages and switches work except for the inside lights. All exterior lights and signals work.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
