Ebay item 8/23/17
www.ebay.com/itm/1973-Jaguar-E-Type-V12-Coupe-/372053415491
Car has a buy it now price of $32,500 for 20 days, seller kurttannermotorcars, 25k miles.
Sellers description:
Offered for sale, from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS, is this superb V-12 2+2 Coupe needing completion. This car was recently purchased from the previous owner who in process of restoring this Jaguar to a very high standard. Unfortunately, he couldn't complete the vehicle after much of his time and expense lavished on it. This car is a believed low mileage example with the speedometer reading a mere 25,997 miles.
This car was repainted in a similar silver as the original color. The chromework, which is in largely in good to excellent condition, was removed along with most of the glass. Maybe a few bumper items could use a replate, but the majority is excellent. The car received good quality bodywork and paint. A complete new quality body rubber kit was purchased for the entire exterior of the car. The original windshield is still in excellent condition and is testament to the car's low mileage.
Mechanically, the car's engine and gearbox look very clean and detailed. One would think that they were in fine health, as it would be alot of effort to remove, detail, and replace them if not so... The rear axle assembly was also overhauled and detailed to the same high standard. It appears the front subframe assemblies were fully painted and the front suspension detailed / rebuilt. There are plenty of new brake parts installed, along with an expensive set of new chrome wire wheels fitted with new tires.
The car still retains most all of it's original navy blue trim which should very well be cleaned, detailed, and re-used. The front leather seats LOOK like 26,000 miles. The original wool carpets are excellent. The car would need a headliner replacing. The dashboard, top pad, facia and gauges look near mint condition and would only require a detail. The main floors/ boot floor still show their original factory silver paint in nice condition.
We haven't found anything missing, and believe the car is very complete, and then some! There are some boxes of new items also included.
Overall, a super V-12 Coupe with thousands already spent. This car is on it's way to a beautiful restoration in it's correct and original color scheme.
