Ebay item 9/9/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-series-III-1973-jaguar-xke-e-type-series-3 ...
Current bid $8,000 reserve not met, 10 bids, 2 days left in auction. Buy it now price $15,000.
Sellers description:
I've owned this jag since 12-02, I bought it on ebay for $14,500., I drove it 3x at 110 mph.on the interstate, my friend was my mechanic who started working on jags when he was 16, He moved to texas and im not a jag mechanic. So I quit driving it 5 yrs ago. now it won't start, my friend came back on vac. and said if he fixed like new roughly $2500. in the engine would do it. I lost my job so i can't fix it, I love this car , but I can't afford to keep it. The exterior and interior are better then most, according to a jag restorer who came up from st. louis, who resales jags. there is no rust. it was originally green, but before I got it the previous owner painted it red, and did a great job.I hope that someone who loves jags will get this car for a lot less then what I've seen these cars sell for. I hate to see people ruin these cars by putting a chevy motor in them. This is a good jag and I hope its not destroyed. If I don't sell it on ebay the jag restorer will buy it and double his money.
