Sellers description:
1973 Jaguar E-Type XK-E Coupe with a V-12 engine and automatic transmission. This car has 69,600 original miles and is in good running order. This car is in excellent mechanical condition. The engine does not burn oil and runs very smooth. The transmission also shifts smooth, and the brakes work well. The car drives very well at high speeds and steers straight and tight. The chrome bumpers, mirrors, window and door trim are in excellent condition. The floor pan is solid. All the gauges work and the interior is clean. The paint job is of good quality. However, there are small areas of paint imperfections and there is also two minor indentations in the front end. The leather bucket seats are weathered but the dash and rear seats are in good condition. This car has not been restored and the drive train is original. In the past 1500 miles the brakes were replaced and the rear differential was reconditioned. The front end has had new shocks and replaced control arms. The headliner has also been replaced. Car comes with the original spare with wire wheel.

This 1973 Jaguar E-Type 2+2 coupe is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and it is finished in dark blue over blue leather upholstery. Equipment includes 15″ knock-off wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, power-assisted steering, a replacement exhaust system, air conditioning, Smiths Instrumentation, quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors, and an Audiophase CD stereo. The car was acquired by the current owner in North Carolina in 2018. This Series III E-Type coupe shows 73k miles and is offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean North Carolina title in the owner’s name.
The bodywork was refinished in dark blue under previous ownership and features exposed headlights, V12 badging, and chrome-finished bumpers with overriders as well as a left side mirror, pop-out rear windows, and four centrally-mounted exhaust outlets.
Chrome-finished 15″ wire wheels are secured with knock-off hubs and are mounted with 205/70 Michelin Destiny tires. The car was factory-equipped with power steering. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes.
The interior features front bucket seats and a contoured rear bench upholstered in blue leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include a heater, air conditioning, a locking glovebox, three-point seatbelts, and an Audiophase CD stereo.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer as well as a Kienzle analog clock and auxiliary gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level that are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 73k miles, approximately 500 of which have been added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 features single overhead camshafts for each cylinder bank and is fed by quadruple side-draft Zenith-Stromberg carburetors. Factory-rated output was 272 horsepower and 303 lb-ft of torque.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a 3.31:1 rear gear.
A tag on the firewall shows the VIN UDIS74984BW, and the VIN on the current North Carolina title is UDIS74984.
