This 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Acquired by the current owner in 2017, the car is finished in British Racing Green over tan leather. Equipment includes a tan soft top, a tan top boot, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, quadruple carburetors, an AM/FM stereo, and a Nardi steering wheel. This Series III E-Type is now offered by the seller on behalf of the owner with a clean Massachusetts title in the name of the owner’s LLC.
Wire-spoke 15″ wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and mounted with 205/70 Michelin tires. The Series III E-Type was factory equipped with power steering, and stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in tan leather as well as color-coordinated door panels and carpeting. Interior appointments include an AM/FM stereo, wind-up windows, a locking glovebox, and a heater.
A Nardi steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock along with readouts for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 60k miles, approximately 4k of which were added under current ownership.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
