The magnificent 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster featured here is finished in gorgeous original Deep Burgundy over a beautifully preserved black leather interior and matching convertible top. This incredible motorcar was purchased by James Karr of Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 26, 1974. James and his wife drove the car for only two summers and exclusively in proper convertible weather; he also had it serviced regularly, following the recommended break-in procedure. In 1976, with just 2,700 carefully driven miles, the car went into proper storage for the winter where it remained for 43 years. In 2020 the car was discovered by renowned classic car expert Arthur Colin Comer and a six-month recommissioning began with hiring Marquis expert Cliff Ebben to perform the mechanical work, as well as intense detailing and preservation work. The 1974 Jaguar today shows and drives exquisitely. Accompanying this investment-grade fully documented Jaguar Roadster are the original photos and storage, as well as original invoices, owner’s manual and much more. We are extremely proud to bring to market what is certainly the lowest mile, most original, final year 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series 3 V12 Roadster on the planet. This is an incredible opportunity to own the best with tremendous investment potential; this Jaguar would make a great addition to any premier collection, or museum. Offered to the most demanding collector, investor, or enthusiast who simply wants to own the best! The year of 1974 was the end of the road for the Jaguar E-Type. Perhaps the most celebrated car to carry the Jaguar name, the E-Type remained elegant, sophisticated, and sporting throughout its production run. The Series 3 V-12 models were touted as being wonderful grand tourers, capable of cruising all day at high speed and incredibly comfortable while doing so.
