Current bid $10,199.99 (Reserve not met), 2 bids, 5 days left in auction. Buy it now price $39,000. Car is now located in Hollywood, Florida. 45k miles.

    Sellers description:
A magnificent example of one of the greatest automobiles of all time. This particular E type was owned for many years by a elderly Florida man, who restored it several years ago, and unfortunately did not get to enjoy this wonderful car. No expense was spared, it was obviously a labor of love. Appearance wise Its the best possible combination, Gorgeous Burgundy paint and tan interior, 4 speed, and perfect chrome wire knock-offs. Speaking of chrome, its all good. From the Connelly leather interior, to the Koni shocks, to the top of the line British stainless steel exhaust, all the work and the parts used are absolutely top of the line. Every single item has been either rebuilt or replaced with oem parts. New radiator, fans, every single hose and line, new fuel pumps and gas tank. New clutch and brake system, this car needs nothing. Most importantly, the awesome v12 all aluminum engine starts and runs perfectly. All lights and turn signals work fine. There is not the hint of rust anywhere, all the glass and chrome is like it left the factory, and yes, it has matching engine numbers. The paint work is flawless. The top, like everything else is new. The factory A/C works fine.A special one-off Nardi steering wheel elegantly completes this beautiful automobile. I should mention the only, and I mean only reasons I am regretfully selling this car, as I never intended to do so. Over the past year due to arthritis I am having greater and greater difficulty getting in and out of this Kitty. In addition, we are moving to the Pacific Northwest and in my opinion the climate is too damp and rainy for this car, over the long haul it would deteriorate, I could not live with myself if I was the one who allowed this to happen. Nowadays we are caretakers of cars like this, its time for me to pass it on to the next person to look out for her. An antique dealer once gave me a great piece of advise, "buy with your eyes, not with your ears." In other words, don't listen to the story, use your eyes to make your decision. Well the same holds true when buying one of these cars. What you need to do with these cars is "buy with your eyes, not with your ears". don't pay attention to the restoration "story"(ears) Use your eyes to look at the details. Look carefully at the bonnet lines, look for uniform lines in the fitting of all the panels. Look for the little details and factory stickers. Look for washers and the type of hose clamps used. Look at the dipstick tube. Don't look for perfection, these are 30+ year old cars, they were not perfect when they were built, they certainly are not now! Don't believe Ebay stories, or receipts "proving" work was done. You are not buying fairy tales or recipts, your buying a classic car. LOOK AT THE CAR!!!!! Then Drive it! Make your decision based on that, reletive to the price. Whether or not you buy my E type or not, what you just read will help you down the line, as it has me. This Jaguar will pass the muster. This car is not perfect, but dollar for dollar I don't belive you will find a better example of a 12 Cyl E roadster that you can enjoy for years to come. I have placed a fair reserve and will listen to all offers, and encourage inspection at any time during the auction.

    Auction description:

    Mercedes-Benz World

    November 26th 2022

1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster

    Registration RCH 816M Chassis Number UE1S23963 Engine Number 7S14563LA Odometer reading 54,848 miles Estimate £90,000 - £110,000

    Matching numbers example

    Fully restored by E-Type specialists

    Manual gearbox

This 1974 E-Type Series III Roadster, is presented in stunning Bordeaux Red Pearl paintwork with a contrasting biscuit leather trim. A left hand drive manual gearbox, matching numbers example, this combines all that is right with the later E-Type. Fusing that fabulous V12 powertrain to a beautifully restored body and importantly a manual gearbox, the final restoration work was completed in 2019 by a Jaguar specialist restorer and we are informed, the engine now runs beautifully. On the interior under the mohair hood, is a Bluetooth stereo complementing the cabin with a touch of modernity.

It is supplied with UK V5 registration document and Jaguar Heritage Certificate. Believed to have covered only 54,848 miles (not warranted) since it left Browns lane some 48 years ago, this Jaguar E-Type Series III V12 is a great investment opportunity and in a colour combination that not only is rare but we think is one of the very best.
