Ebay item 7/24/12
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Fast-straight-Jag-E-V12-w-hardtop-boot-wires-knockoffs-a ...
Current bid $44,999, no reserve 1 bid 5 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Middleburg, Virginia.

Sellers description:
1974 Jaguar Series III, VIN UE1S23965
This is a rare opportunity to own a completely rust free example of an always garaged, stored in a car capsule during winter (which comes with the car), never driven in the rain, completely original numbers matching 1973 Jaguar XKE V12 Roadster. Comes with that hard-to-find original matching hard top, this car color is the most desirable silver with a navy blue interior, great glass on car and removable hardtop, driven by only three mature and careful owners with an astonishingly low original 49K miles! Although not a fully restored example, this remains an even rarer and probably more desirable original V12 E-Type Jaguar Roadster and the perfect candidate for the Jaguar enthusiast to collect; not concours, but certainly a TEN-footer (not a twenty-footer!). Runs tight, fast and smooth, all four Strombergs just redone, good rubber, ready for that coastline cruise! No rust, all new fluids, factory A/C, and of course a tight and responsive 4 speed manual tranny. The hard top, wire wheels and knockoffs alone are worth an addditional $5,000.00!

Note the neat European-type bumper guards, a great cosmetic improvement over the bulky rubber ones. I have the excellent originals and they go with the car. Also, the car comes with four terrific wire wheels and knockoffs ; I use the solids because they are easier to change if you have a flat, and I drive this car; it is a real and reliable DRIVER!! I have to sell because unfortunately I have to have some hip surgery, so sliding into this sweetie has become tough for me.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
