Ebay item 2/22/10
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $15,100 reserve not met, 2 bids 5 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Located in Denver CO, the following copy is from the estate manager:
1974 Jaguar XKE V12 Roadster
This one owner 1974 Roadster was purchased new in 1974. She has always been pampered, kept in a garage and used for fun. She has been shown in Concours D'Elegance in Texas and Colorado, winning several times and placing several times in the 1970s and 1980s.
She has been taken a a few road trips but primarily has been used as a weekend playmate. Her mileage is slightly over 65,000. She is in very good shape mechanically. Her owner had her regularily serviced. The estate had the mechanic who has serviced her for the past twenty years tune her in January. She is still a pleasure to drive. Negatives: Her convertible top is original and, although serviceable, has some cracking and discoloration.
The seats are also original and show some wear, including a repairable 2 1/2 inch tear in the passenger seat.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
