Sellers comment:
very nice 1974 XKE JAGUAR V12 CONVERTIBLE. What a good looking collector car in superb shape. No need to change or do a thing.

This car was purchased used in 1977 with 15,731 miles. The car was in storage until 1998 and since then has only added 2000+/- miles. This is the last year this model was made. It also has the rare Removable Hard Top, in perfect condition also.

Vehicle Condition
This vehicle was appraised by a local auto museum in 2002 with miles showing 17,431. The overall condition was very good to excellent marks. This car runs excellent.

The mechanical portion of the appraisal showed all marks to be in the very good to excellent ratings, except the exhaust which was rated in good condition. Since then we have had it checked over.

The appearance portion of the appraisal showed similar very good to excellent marks except the following:

The Engine Room was considered not cleaned, but in good condition. We have since then cleaned the engine by hand. We have heard mixed feelings of steam cleaning a Jaguar engine, therefore will leave that decision up to the buyer.

The Plating was rated in good conditon.

The Undercarriage was rated in good condition and since then also cleaned.

The appraiser said that the over all condition was very good to excellent condition.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
