Ebay item 8/10/19

www.ebay.com/itm/1974-Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-V12-Roadster-Classic-Collector-Convertib ...

Car has a buy it now price of $70,000 for 6 days, seller drcco1623_wex3rq, 51k miles.

Seller's description:

I purchased my ’74, in 1996 from a physician here in the Twin Cities. The odometer reading at that time was ~29,000 miles. Based on Minnesota weather I have enjoyed driving my Jaguar, when possible, from late May to the end of October. The car has always been garaged at home and at the office. Before retiring and/or not traveling on business, I tried to drive the Jaguar once a week to the office; weather permitting.

My Jaguar is a well-maintained specimen of British Motoring History. It has spent several months, over the last two years, with my favorite mechanic performing general maintenance and installing the new items listed below. I have all service records on the vehicle from the date of purchase.

Body chrome, bumpers (aka over-riders), upholstery and carpet are all original as are the convertible top, trunk liner, tonneau cover, and tire jack including case. The NADPI steering wheel, fire suppression system and Alpine cassette/radio were installed by the previous owner. All gauges are functioning as is the clock. The exhaust system is stainless steel.

New items include five-period correct radial tires, shocks, brakes, dash, console, sun visors, and XXX Triplex windshield, plus a spin-on oil filter, car cover, new floor mats, & battery tender.

Additional items that go with the car when purchased include:

·       Weber carburetor set that was on the car when purchased

·       Custom bonnet (hood) bra created by members of the Jaguar Club of Minnesota

·       Two Owner’s manuals

·       Shop Manual

·       Other miscellaneous car parts including the original steering wheel (minus center ring), oil filter assembly, floor mats, and locking gas cap.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
