This is a matching numbers 1974 Jaguar series 3 V12 roadster in the fantastic color combination of black with deep red interior. It comes with chrome wire wheels, power steering, air conditioner (which blows cold) and a black canvas soft top in good condition.

Body: I have not found any rust or indications of it ever been in an accident. The original floors are in very good condition as is the trunk floor. This car was originally white, the color change was very thorough as the door jambs, under the hood, and inside the trunk were painted black. The engine frame rails were repainted with the engine removed. The paint looks very good, it is smooth and with a deep gloss. The chrome wire wheels are in excellent condition. Overall the car looks stunning!

Interior: The interior is all original and in good condition, especially for its age. There is a one-inch seam in the passenger seat that has come loose. The soft top is black canvas as is the boot cover for when the top is down. The top is in very good condition and the back plastic is clear. The steering wheel was upgraded to a wood wheel that resembles those used on the earlier XKEs. I like the way this steering wheel looks and feels. If you prefer the original style steering wheel I would be glad to swap it out. All gauges are original and in working order, except the clock which probably stopped working in 1975. The radio was upgraded to a very nice Sony CD player.

Engine and mechanicals: The engine has very good oil pressure and no smoke and no leaks. The manual gearbox shifts very good. There is a small amount of clutch shuttering on first gear when cold; the clutch itself feels strong with no slippage. Brakes, power steering, and electrical system are working properly. The air conditioner is blowing cold. The exhaust system was recently replaced with a stainless steel system. A stainless steel exhaust is substantially more expensive but will last much longer. Tires are Michelin and look practically new.

Others: Included is the canvas boot cover (for when the top is down), owner’s manual, jack in the bag, knock off hammer and tool, wiring diagram and lubrication chart.
