This 1974 Jaguar E-Type Series III roadster was refurbished between 2005 and 2008 and spent most of its time off the road before a refresh was commissioned under prior ownership between 2021 and 2023. The selling dealer acquired the car in 2024, and work in preparation for the sale involved replacing the rear subframe bushings, trailing arms, and wiper motor in addition to repairing wiring for the air conditioning and horn. Finished in white over tan leather, the car is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include a black soft top and coordinated top boot, four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, 15” knock-off wire wheels, and quadruple carburetors. This Series III E-Type is now offered at no reserve with a British Motor Industry Heritage Trust certificate, service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean Arizona title.
The car was refinished in white at some point prior to 2005 and is equipped with a black soft top and top boot, uncovered headlights, a forward-hinged louvered hood, and a power antenna. The wiper motor was replaced in February 2025.
Wire-spoke 15″ wheels are secured with knock-off spinners and mounted with 215/70 Dunlop tires. The front suspension, power steering, and four-wheel disc brake system were overhauled during the refurbishment completed in 2008. In 2022, the front brake pads, booster, and master cylinder were replaced, while the rear subframe mounts and trailing arms were replaced in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in tan leather. Wiring for the horn and air conditioning were repaired in preparation for the sale, and the left door button was also repaired at that time. The AM/FM radio does not work.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline. An analog clock and gauges for voltage, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 39k miles, approximately 150 of which were added under current ownership. Instrumentation was rebuilt in 2023.
The 5.3-liter V12 was factory equipped with quadruple Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 241 horsepower and 285 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine was overhauled as part of the 2008 refurbishment, and work between 2021 and 2023 involved replacing the fuel pump, spark plugs, and vacuum hoses.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Refurbishment work in 2008 involved overhauling the transmission. A stainless-steel exhaust system is fitted.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust Production Record Trac Certificate lists a manufacture date of March 18, 1974, along with production information.
