Auction description:
Lot number 98
Sale Price £58,000
Make & Model Jaguar E-Type S3 V12 Roadster Manual
Registration CDM 537M
Year 1974
Colour Aquamarine
Engine Size 5,344 cc
Chassis No. UE1S25411
Engine No. 7S15556LA
Documents V5C; MOT March 2018 with no advisories; invoices; US Certificate of Title; import papers; Heritage Cert applied for
Dating from 1974, this eye-catching, matching numbers V12 Roadster has recently returned from America where it had just one South Oregon owner from 1981 until 2017 according to correspondence and a US Certificate of Title on file. We are also informed that it was featured in Chris Harvey's book 'End of an Era' published in 1985, and in 'Road & Track' magazine in June 1988.
A desirable manual model, it really stands out from the crowd with its Aquamarine paintwork and navy hide interior. Since arrival on these shores it has been converted to RHD by marque specialists Powerbell Services of Taplow at a cost of £7,615 (invoice on file). A new dark blue soft-top has also recently been fitted, while a new set of chrome wire wheels and a matching set of Michelin tyres were recently fitted in America along with a stainless steel exhaust.
It is showing only 30,950 miles on the clock which is said to be correct although there is insufficient documentary evidence to warrant this. Said to drive as well as it looks with an MOT until March 2018 with no advisories recorded, it has been UK registered with a current V5C and is sure to turn heads wherever it goes. A Heritage Certificate has been applied for and should be here in time for the sale.
