Ebay item 8/12/05
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-SERIES-1-JAGUAR-66-XKE-ROADSTER-OUT-OF-STO ...
Current bid $6,600, no reserve, 9 bids, 6 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
Original matching number 1966 Jaguar 4.2 litre XKE Series 1 roadster. All of the very desirable Series 1 Jaguars include features like triple carbs and the covered headlights. The car is not running and I do not know the condition of the mechanicals except for what the past owner has told me. This cat has been in storage for over 20 years. I have owned this car for less than 1 year, and I have too many projects underway to give this vehicle the attention it deserves.
CONDITION :
Vehicle Id numbers :
* Car # 1E12324
* Body # 4E3766
* Engine # 7E7444-9
* Gearbox # EJ6615
* Mileage: 51,704. I believe this is correct.

* Transmission: I was told it was rebuilt 15 -20 years ago, and that a new clutch plate & throw out bearing were replaced at that time.
* Clutch : Unknown

* Body: It's in primer to eliminate further rust. It appears that bondo is in some areas of the body. ( Please don't ask me where every spot is since this can not be answered. ) The body of car will need extensive body work before painting.
* Bonnet: It looks like there is some bondo in tip of nose.
* Interior: Black leather; Seats are in average shape, Some wear. Interior is complete, but no carpets. Car really needs new interior to make look good.
