Car to be at auction 9/10
www.bonhams.com/cgi-bin/public.sh/pubweb/publicSite.r

Auction description:
Sale 18216 - Collectors' Motor Cars and Automobilia, 17 Sep 2010
Goodwood Revival, Chichester, Sussex
Lot No: 335
1965 Jaguar E-Type Series 1 4.2-Litre Roadster
Registration no. DCK 128C
Chassis no. 1E12329

Estimate: £50,000 - 60,000, € 61,000 - 73,000

The E-Type roadster offered here was acquired by the current vendor in July 2008 having previously been owned by a Mr P Holt, for whom it was restored approximately ten years ago. We are advised that the car has seen very little use since restoration and that it drives 'tightly', with no rattles or scuttle shake. Finished in yellow with black leather interior, 'DCK 128C' currently displays a total of 66,500 miles on the odometer and is described as in generally good/excellent condition. The car is offered with sundry restoration invoices, MoT/tax to July 2011 and Swansea V5 document.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
