Ebay item 7/23/08
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jaguar-E-Type-COUPE-1965-JAGUAR-E-TYPE-COUPE-RACING-MODI ...
Opening bid $18,000, no bids yet, 4 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar E-Type Coupe - Racing Modified
Unique, race modified E-Type
- VIN# 4E30830
- 76,107 miles
- One of a kind E-Type
This E-Type was being built to race, but was never completed for racing. It has only seen regular street use.
Screamingly powerful engine rebuilt and tuned to race! Over $12,000.00 was invested in this engine. 12:1 Compression, Grant double moly piston rings, 3/4 Iskenderian cams and heavy duty lifting springs are just the beginning of what was upgraded on this engine.
The suspension was upgraded for racing too,
The clutch is slipping badly and will need to be replaced.
When being tuned for racing the bumpers were removed, but we can supply bumpers if desired. The passenger side trim was removed from the rocker sill so you can see how solid the sills are.
All in all, this is a fine example of an E-Type roadster. A very desirable car. This is an excellent candidate to restore as a show car or to make as a daily driver.

Current bid $5,666.99 reserve not met, 6 bids 9 days left in auction. Car now said to be in Stamford, Connecticut.
Sellers description:
1965 Jaguar Coupe (not2+2) modified race engine,as per last owner, over$12K spent, high compression (170-180) Grant double moly piston rings,3/4 Iskenderian cams, heavy duty valve springs etc. All bumpers were removed and seams filled, and fender flairs made. I see bondo was used to shape flairs, and probably to fill bumper seams. I bought the car with a worn clutch, and I have installed a NOS assy. along with a new slave cyl. Car has new oil and filter, new battery new high torque starter, and coolant hoses replaced as needed. The engine runs very strong and shifts through the gears nicely. The tires are very good, but there is no spare. All of the upholstery and the interior is great with exception of the drivers seat,it has 2 small cracks, and the floor rugs are missing as well as the pass. side rocker material, but the good news is you can see there is no rust. I have inspected this car on a lift and find no rust at all.If you like the look of this car, as I did, it will make a great driver with some TLC, (the hard part was done), or restore to your liking. The mileage reads 76K but I do not know if it is real.
