Sellers description:
1966 Jaguar XKE Coupe. This car is an original, 43,000 mile survivor. The car still retains its Factory paint, chrome and interior. The paint is in poor condition due to being covered in plastic for nearly 20 years, but the body and undercarridge are Exceptional. This car is a Rust Free Arizona car and is well documented from the time it was purchased new in Arizona. The car is in "As Found" condition. It is a perfect canidate for a Concourse Restoration because of its Rust Free Body, Original, Matching Numbers drive line, and Documented Provenance, the original interior is near perfect. The car still has its original spare tire, jack and tool kit, along with factory manuals and brochures. Also included are registrations, titles and documents from 1968 to present. This is an Air-Conditioned, 2 seat Coupe with the 4.2 engine and 4 speed manual transmission, in factory Silver-Gray on Red leather, it simply doesn't get any better than this. The car is not running at this time, the radiator was removed in 1989 and the car was covered and remained in the garage until I purchased it two months ago. I have all parts for the car and some spares, also, there is a log of interesting facts about the car that the previous owner documented. Engine is free with good compression and the car rolls easily, the emergency brake works. This car is deserving or a concourse restoration, but would be a great car with new cosmetics and general mechanical restoration (brakes, tune up, etc.). The mileage is documented, and history is interesting.
