Ebay item 6/7/23
Opening bid $135,000 reserve not met 0 bids buy it no price: $185,000, no bids, 9 days left in auction, seller jpfrazier4211, 11k miles.
Seller's description:
This absolutely STUNNING ONE-OWNER, SERIES I XKE COUPE has its full provenance since new. The car was sold new with the original San Diego California title issued April 4, 1966. The car comes with the Jaguar Heritage Certificate verifying all the mechanical components are original to the car, it is a complete numbers matching car. The car is one of 1904 Coupes built in 1966 with 1,648 shipped to the United States. The engineer owner bought the car in 1966 and married his lifelong partner in 1974 using this car as their wedding car. There is even a picture of them in her wedding dress and him in his tuxedo with the car in 1974. This couple is now in their 80s and tearfully parted with the car due to health reasons.
In 1997 the couple moved to Denver, CO, and had the car shipped in an enclosed carrier. Because of the Southern California life, the car has never suffered from rust nor has there ever been an accident involving the car. The floorboards, as well as all body components, are original to the car.
In 2011 the owner felt it was time to refresh the car. This refreshment included a $15,000.00 glass-out repaint, as well as $53,247.00 dollars of mechanical and accessory refurbishment, All of the interior components besides the leather seats were kept original. These components all still look new, crisp, tight, and undamaged by the sun. The restoration was performed by Jaguar of Denver, all receipts and recaps are present in the historical book.
The car has a tasteful Retro Radio Sound with AM/FM USB MPs playback. Tires are a fresh-looking set of Vredestein tires. The exhaust is Stainless Steel.
