Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States and registered AVG594D in October 2019. For sale at The Splined Hub of Oundle for £200,000. Seller's description below.
www.thesplinedhub.co.uk/listing/1966-jaguar-e-type-series-1-4-2-litre-coupe/

The final incarnation of the Series 1 E Type, this 4.2 litre car has, as with all our cars, been completely rebuilt, this one to correct 1966 specification. The unusual colour was known as Jaguar special blue and we have painted the car this colour as a bit of deviation from the norm. There have been a number of upgrades, including 3.07:1 axle ratio and 4 pot front brake callipers. Complimented by a sumptuous black leather interior and slightly wider wheels and tyres, this car represents a mildly sportier version of the classic E Type.

Description

Chassis 1E32538 was built on the 13th January 1966 and was supplied into the USA via Jaguar Cars New York as detailed by its Jaguar Heritage Certificate.

A matching number car, which was converted to RHD as part of its total restoration by a UK Jaguar E-type specialist in 2018 / 2019.

We have on record photographs of the car before and during its restoration, showing that the car was virtually complete and in sound condition.

The vehicle underwent a total bare metal strip and repaint, together with a comprehensive mechanical rebuild with detailed improvements including, improved cooling and an electronic 123 bluetooth mappable distributor.

The engine was totally rebuilt and fitted with the UK triple SU carburretor configuration. In addition the differential was changed to a 3.07 ratio for more relaxed driving.

Creature comforts such as heated front screen, Jaguar’s own classic infotainment system with navigation, makes this car ideal for UK and European touring.

Finished in Jaguar’s rare Special Blue with contrasting black leather interior, this E-type looks stunning and has covered less than 500 miles since its comprehensive restoriation in 2019 at a cost close to £200K.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
