    Ebay item 12/15/05
    cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $2,247.69 (Reserve not met), 4 bids, 4 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar XKE 2+2 coupe - Engine and Transmission removed and engine is disassembled

4.2 liter engine with triple SU carbs, automatic transmission, wire wheels, disc brakes, original interior (rough condition). Rust on both doors, sills, rear fenders, and seams on bonnet. Mileage unknown or could not be verified.

The engine has been removed and disassembled. Transmission has been removed. Both are included.

Mileage on odometer shows 67,961. The photos make the car appear green, which I thought it was. Upon closer inspection, it is actually a dark gray color.

    Car returns to ebay 8/2/12

Current bid $1,967 reserve not met, 1 bid 6 days left in auction. Note; the VIN for this car is assumed for this auction as the provided VIN even tho its on the title is not valid for an E-type. LHD 2+2s VIN range is 1E75001 - 1E77644. Given the range its assumed that the car is titled missing the 7 after the E. The '05 auction would seem to confirm its the same car.

    Sellers description:
1967 Jaguar Etype 2+2 coupe...the car is a very worthwhile restoration project..the car is an original covered headlight 2+2 coupe equiped with automatic transmission...The original numbers matching engine and transmission comes with the car...the engine and transmission is currently out of the car for a rebuild that was never completed. Rear end looks like it has been rebuilt...I have most of the parts needed for completion...the car is missing the front windscreen and the original carbs

the body of the car has mimimal rust...there is no rot on the car..solid floors and undercarrage...the boot/trunk floor is in excellent condition....the hood of the car will need a little work, has some filler around the nose but is very repairable.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
