Engine and gearbox number appear to be correct for this car, bu the body # (4R7930)appears to be over a month or more earlier in the production or 700 Vin #s earlier. Could the owner contact me about this please. It appears that the vin # or the body # is incorrect.

    Thanks, Mike

I am more than surprised to see the “1R13914 number ascribed to another car other than the one which currently sits in my garage. I am the second owner of this car from new and have owned it since 1972. Any insight into how this has occurred?

Do you have a heritage certificate?

Does your cars numbers match the above numbers?

did you read the above old posts?

usually an owner submits an incorrect vin and it is never caught, until the real car tries to register his car.

and the vin could have been hijacked and placed on another car.

just trying to help. John S

    John,

I was unfamiliar with a “heritage certificate”. I am in process to acquire one. My numbers all match the original numbers posted. His information even includes my Fairplay Georgia address as previous “current city”. What does one do in a case like this? I see that the car was posted for sale. Any way to find out who originally submitted this information?

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
