This 1969 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster wears a repaint in red over black leather, and it is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked with a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Equipment includes a black convertible soft top, 15″ wire wheels, knock-off hubs, four-wheel disc brakes, a pushbutton radio, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a heater. The car has resided in Washington State following its acquisition by the current owner in April 2015. This XKE roadster is now offered on dealer consignment with tools and a Washington State title.
The car wears an older repaint in red, and exterior equipment includes a replacement black soft top, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, a louvered clamshell hood, and dual exhaust outlets. The seller notes sanding marks in the finish.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by knock-off hubs and are mounted with Dunlop SP Sport tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. Interior appointments include a locking glovebox, a pushbutton radio, and a heater.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline as well as an analog clock and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was factory equipped with dual Zenith-Stromberg carburetors and was rated at 246 horsepower and 263 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional photographs of the underside are shown in the gallery below.
The Washington State title lists “Classic” in the Brands section.
