Sellers description:
This is a very nice '69 E-type driver. It doesnt overheat in the Arizona summer, is reliable and has completed many 600 mile trips with no failures. It is well-sorted out with new main bearings, wiring, brakes (all, even parking), SS exhaust, shocks, front windshield. It is good enough to win trophies in the Jag Club driven class, but is not a 99.9 concourse point car. It comes with many spare parts, original air cleaner. Chrome and glass are perfect. Red line tires are excellent. Paint is very red. The cloth top is perfect. Manuals and all my spares are included. Oil pressure is 65# cold; 55# hot. Leather seats, seat belts and top boot are perfect, but have age patina. Odometer has never worked, so I cannot verify mileage, but expect it to be 80,000. All lights, gauges and switches work, except clock. The car has passed AZ emissions for 8 years and the carbs stay in tune.
problem areas: right cooling fan is noisy on start up then is quiet while running; boot (trunk) has 3 paint cracks caused by factory weatherstripping being too high and creating pressure on lid; boot remote release key missing. dash covering has a 1/2" fabric hole on center underside; passenger door has 8" of small paint bubbles along lower door edge--- (not getting worse, or better.)
what i would do with the car: drive it. the fixes for the paint issues are fairly easy---door can be fixed on the car; boot lid can be removed and painted and small diameter (not correct) weatherstrip installed; dash cover can be replaced when replacing the heater tubes--part of the spares included.
