This car has been restored in the California area and still carries a CA plate. It has also been suggested that this car was owned by Jerry Van **** but I have no way of finding out if this is true. I do know that his brother Dick Van **** owned a coupe however. Anyway, the car has the following positive points:
64K miles
High torque starter
High Amp Delco alternator
Fender flairs from a series 3 allowing larger rims and tyres
Michelin 215/70/15 tyres
new tan leather interior
very nice dark blue exterior

Imported into the United Kingdom from the United States in 2015 and currently for sale at Le Riche Automotive Restorers of Jersey in the Channel Islands. The Heritage Certificate dates the car to March 1969. Originally finished in Regency Red, it was shipped to British Leyland New York on 14 March 1969.
Little is known of its early history, however it is known that by 2000 it was in California and in 2005 it was in Louisiana. It was then shipped to Hawaii, with the last service bill in Honolulu being in 2013. An unusual older customisation the track and wheelbase are standard for a series 2 but it is fitted with a series 3 bonnet with flared rear arches to match.
A solid series 2 roadster in the style of a series 2.5. Mechanically good with matching numbers, recent work has been carried out to the rear suspension with all new brushes. Chrome wire wheels. 69,500 miles.
