Ebay item 7/20/05 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $12,000.00 (Reserve not met), 1 bid, 6 days left in auction. 51k miles.
Sellers description:
I purchased the car 15 years ago with the intention of restoring it to show condition. This spring I decided I would never have the time to restore it, so I decided to use it, and had all the mechanical systems worked on. I rebuilt the carbs, had new tires, tubes, and battery installed. All fluids were changed, repairs were made as needed to the brake, clutch and other systems. A complete tune up was done. The car was registered and passed Va. Inspection. And then I came across a pristine, unrestored, 26,000 mile V-12 roadster. So I am selling this 6 Cylinder car. The car is a great driver. And if you are looking for a car to restore for show, it is very straight and original so a restoration would be relatively easy to accomplish. The positives: The car is straight, and does not appear to have been hit. It is a very strong motor, and can be driven anywhere. The floors are solid and original. The chrome is serviceable - there is no pitting, but it shows its age. There is some bubbling in the rocker panels and the left rear quarter panel (behind the rear wheel ) . I have new rocker panels and a quarter panel among my spares. I have numerous other spares including a new clock, new exterior door handles with locks and keys, a complete rubber kit, and car cover. The car also comes with the original passenger side foot rest. The negatives: The seats are covered in vinyl. The rest of the interior and the trunk interior ought to be replaced (the floor carpets are new). There are several pieces under the bonnet that have been chromed (air filter canister, expansion tank, radiator motor housings). The car had a luggage rack, so there are 4 screw holes in the boot lid. The car was originally BRG, it is now Navy Blue. The underside of the bonnet has been painted black. I did not transfer the title until I registered the car this spring. I forgot that you need to declare the mileage when you title a car, and did not remember the original mileage. My guess, which is shown on the title, was high, so there is a discrepancy between the actual mileage showing on the speedo, and what is on the title.
