I am only the third owner of this Jaguar. The previous owner has had it in Minnesota since 1975. I purchased it in 2012. The car has been modified, but you would not know it by looking at the engine. It has an aluminum fly wheel. It has race hardened pistons, and has a compression ratio of 10:1. It has Weber carbs. It definitely gets up and goes, and is a joy to drive at speed.

I have had it on the track for touring at Road America at Elkhart Lake, WI. My 10 year old daughter and I go twice a year for vintage racing, usually SVCDA and VSCDA. If we are lucky we also make the Denny Redman Classic in July. I sneak kit up to at least 100 mph on the long starights. You have to be careful not to get flagged and escorted off the track.

This is my daughter's college money! Needless to say, I hope I have alternative college financing by the time she turns 18!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
