Current bid GBP 2,050 (approximately US $2,900.96) reserve not met, 7 bids 6 days left in auction.

    Sellers description:
1962 JAGUAR ETYPE COUPE FOR RESTORATION.

ORIGINAL COLOUR OPALESENT SILVER BLUE WITH DARK BLUE INTERIOR.

MATCHING NUMBERS ENGINE HEAD & GEARBOX. THE ENGINE TURNS BY HAND.

THIS CAR HAS HERITAGE TRACE CERTIFICATE. NO V5 SO WILL NEED TO BE APPLIED FOR.

THERE ARE SOME PARTS MISSING WE HAVE NOT BEEN THROUGH IT COMPLETELY BUT THERE ARE NO CARBS, PROPSHAFT, RAD, STEERING COLUMN, REV COUNTER, SPEEDOMETER, SEAT SWABS. THE MAJORITY OF PARTS IN A RESTORATION WOULD BE REPLACED FOR NEW ANYWAY.

THE OUTER BODY AND PANELS ARE IN GREAT ORDER FOR A RESTORATION.

IT LOOKS GOOD IN MOST OF THE AREAS THAT ARE COMMON TO DETERIORATE.

THIS CAR SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN STORED RATHER THAN USED FOR A LONG WHILE.

IT IS EXACTLY AS IT CAME TO US.

Car is on a slow restoration programme of build when I have the time spare to work on it.
Many OE new and second hand parts have been sourced and have enabled me so far to date to build a very 'original' car of the time.
Lead loading and not surface filler will be applied on the rebuild.

Paint will be in cellulose and to the correct factory specification.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
