During the fuel rationing of 1961 in Spain, General Franco's elder brother General Nicolas Franco’s son Nicolás Franco Pascual de Pobil naturalist who was President of the International Council for Game and Wildlife Conservation ingeniously acquired this E-TYPE from a Jaguar dealer in Lisbon Portugal was on November 2, 1961 due to no Jaguar dealer in Spain that time. Documented by a preserved sales deed from Lisbon, this Jaguar was destined for Franco family in Madrid, where it found its first home.
