Ebay item 5/29/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-XKE-/131524549013
Current bid US $45,100 reserve not met 11 bids 9 days left in auction. 87k miles. Now said to be in Sonoma, California.
Sellers description;
1962 Jaguar XKE e-type Roadster. Frame-off restoration completed in 2002. Born February 22 of 1962 in Sherwood Green with a Suede Green interior and French Gray roof. Sold new at Jaguar Cars of New York then shipped to it's first owner in Colorado. Current owner purchased the car in need of a restoration in 1998. Frame-off, rotisserie restoration completed a couple of thousand miles ago in 2002. Finished in Cream over Red with a black top.
Rebuilt and mechanically sound. Starts; runs and drives well with excellent power, shifting, suspension and brakes. Gauges and external lighting all in working order. Still set up as positive ground though the stereo is isolated and set up as negative ground. Most accessories in working order though the blinker indicators only work on the left, horn contacts need cleaning (work but poor connection) and the heater fan does not turn on. Washer pump motor not present. Overall the car looks nice but there are a few, minor scratches that could use attention. This was a nice, nut/bolt restoration thirteen years ago. The car has won awards at local shows including two time 3rd place at the Silverado Concours d'Elegance and Marin Sonoma Concours d'Elegance.
Beautiful 1962 Jaguar e-type OTS looking for an appreciative new owner.

For £149,990
Seller's description :
This Special Jaguar E-type 1962 3.8 Litre convertible carries a large and impressive history. It was originally registered in California, where it was situated and maintained to a first class condition up until 2015 where it was imported into the U.K. Throughout its short lifespan within Great Britain the owner had the vehicle recognised by the Coventry Transport Museum with a certificate of authenticity issued by them on the 20th January 2016. The vehicle sustained a comprehensive refurbishment project during the early 2000's which is recorded within the service and maintenance folder which has enhanced and reignited it's sharp appearance.
Jaguar E-type Mk 1 is an iconic piece of motoring history and this is a golden opportunity to own a fabulous automotive classic.

Not sold.
This stunning, left-hand drive, Jaguar E-Type was supplied new on 22nd February 1962 to a Mr R.S. Reid of Aspen Colorado. According to the Heritage Certificate, the car was handed over at the works and UK registered with the registration number 718 WK, which is still present on the car today. When the car was repatriated in 2015, the original number plate was re-allocated to the car.
This example was then purchased by our vendor last year and he has recently had the car fully serviced with an oil and filter change. Patently, the car has been restored and there are bills and receipts in the history file detailing lots of expenditure. The car has covered a negligible mileage since it was restored and is presented today in superb condition. The panel fit is excellent, the bodywork has been finished to a very high standard, and the paintwork retains a good shine. The interior is in superb order and the engine bay has been beautifully detailed. The engine block and head match the Heritage Certificate and the car drove very well on test.
This Jaguar E-Type is supplied with a current UK Registration Certificate and copies of its works registration allocation. It is becoming increasingly difficult to find an E-Type in such good condition whilst retaining its original feel and encouraging usability. We welcome all pre-sale inspections and bidders should contact the office for further details.
The Series I E-Type Roadster has seen a rapid rise in popularity in the last 2 years and we feel this is completely justified. This car must be seen to be appreciated and can be driven away from the auction.

This vehicle was repatriated back to the UK in 2015 and now resides in Hampshire UK and has its original registration number of 718 WK back on the car that it was originally issued with from the Coventry factory back in early 1962 The car is still in a superbly restored condition having only covered a mere 1500 miles since the full restoration that it had in the States.
