This Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Fixed Head Coupe is an appealing example of the iconic classic British sports car, which benefits from an earlier repaint and interior retrim.
The seller is reportedly the fourth keeper, and has owned it for four years.
The odometer indicates 34,898 miles from new, though this is not warranted.
It is finished in black over a red leather-trimmed interior with a wooden dashboard, and featuring toggle switches, Smiths dials, and a wood-rimmed steering wheel.
It rides on a set of 15-inch chrome wire wheels with twin-eared knock-off spinners, wrapped in a set of Michelin XWX 205/70VR15 tyres.
The car has been fitted with a five-speed gearbox in place of the original four-speed. It has also had the brakes uprated with a Coopercraft vented brake disc conversion.
The vehicle will come with some previous maintenance invoices.
Specific notes from the seller include: the paintwork is in good condition but shows some very light micro scratches from use and cleaning. The interior is in excellent overall condition, with some light wear on the driver’s seat from use.
The seller is not aware of any electrical or mechanical faults.
The seller notes that the car will be inspected for roadworthiness prior to collection.
The latest service was carried out during October 2023 by Workshop 46. The work comprised of an engine oil and filter change, along with the replacement of the replacement of an exhaust connection, as well as a general inspection.
Prior to this, the car was serviced in November 2021 by O’Classics, which was an engine oil and filter change, and replacement of the engine fan, lower front pivot joint, brake fluid, and the fuel gauge, as well as adjustment of the carburettors.
