H&H are once again delighted to be auctioning a very special E Type Jaguar, which by employing a 1964 S1 3.8 coupe as the donor car and a brand new body with a raft of new componentry has resulted in the truly stunning machine you see today. The Coventry sports-car with hardtop and roll cage in an untrimmed fully functional interior is powered by a Rob Beere prepared 3.8-litre six with a claimed 300bhp on tap. A very limited edition run of such Historic Motor Sport ready Jags were produced by the E Type Race Company.
The bodyshell came from marque specialists Martin Robey with steel panels apart from GRP bonnet, strengthened inner sills, stiffening mods, FIA-compliant roll cage and firewalls. The really super-spec included Autosparks wiring loom, new electrical components and lights, Fuel Safe tank, Aeroquip hoses, Willwood panels and fabricated pedal box, Beere race-spec torsion bars and anti-roll bars, Gazmatic 32-position shockers, 325lbs rear springs, strengthened rear bottom wishbones with relocated mounting points, solid-mounted steering rack and rear subframes, 3.54 diff with Powr-Lok, Beere 300bhp 3.8 motor on Webers, Tony Law manifolds and repackable silencers, Walkers radiator and fans, Getrag 5-speed gearbox, Sabelt harnesses, plumbed-in fire extinguisher, and Dunlop replica 15ins diameter 7ins wide wheels with splined hub adapters.
Reading through - and pricing up - all these well thought out mods, it is no wonder that Es such as these cost in excess of ú60,000, and that was in 2001 remember!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
