RM auction, 4/16/1999, Toronto, ON, lot #625. Car number reported as "8899164" in auction report. Sports Car Market report reads:
"Chrome wire wheels, Talbot mirrors. Fair older repaint with orange peel on filler behind both quarter windows. Poor right door fit. Good interior. Engine dirty and neglected. A rather tired and shakey older restoration."

You are bidding on a 1964 XKE Coupe. This car is matching numbers, and it comes with a clear title. This car is considered a driver/restoration project. The vin plate numbers for this car are as follows: Chassis#889916 Body#v7419 Engine#ra5204-9 Gearbox#eb13329js. This car is 100 percent complete. The body of this xke is extremely solid with only minor surface rust present. The flooring and door sills only have minor surface rust present. The spare tire area is solid with no signs of rust. The bumpers and moldings do come with this car they were just taken off because I was going to have a repaint done. The interior is in great shape, however there is no carpet. The seats were recently redone in black vinyl. This car runs great, It is quit, and doesnt smoke, and it has good oil pressure. The carbs were recently rebuilt. Someone added an aftermarket air system, it can be removed easily. When the air was added the installer didnt hack or cut anything. The transmission is in great working order, the chassis on this xke is solid with only road grime present. The tires hold air, and the rims look good. The chrome on this car is average, not perfect. The brakes on this car barely work, there really soft. None of the glass is broken, and the doors shut tight.
