First owner was Richard Morse of Palos Verdes, Ca.
I am the fourth owner which has been documented and verified. The car sat unused from 1982 until June 1999 when I purchased it from David Camfield of Redondo Beach.

Tony, what a great car, perhaps one of the greatest "driver" E-Type configurations--lovely fixed head shape, headlights that actually work, more comfortable interior, and those wheels mean no wire wheel fuss. I'll trade you a well used Land Rover and a bunch of rusty junk...

Car now offered at:
www.hemmings.com/auction/1970-jaguar-e-type-598164
Seller's description:
Vehicle Location
Lawndale, California 90260
VIN P1R27842
Odometer 86,338
Engine 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six
Transmission Manual
Exterior Color Opalescent Silver Blue
Interior Tan leather
“Sleek and sexy” are the words used by the seller to describe this Opalescent Silver Blue over tan leather 1970 Jaguar E-type Series II coupe with 86,338 miles. The car was owned and driven by her father who bought the Jaguar in 1999 and kept it until passing away in 2022, leaving the Jag to her and her two siblings. She also represents that the car has recently been serviced and was professionally restored some years ago. All receipts available will accompany the sale.
The history of the engine, transmission, and rebuilds is unknown. Starts are made with the choke, with no smoke and an even idle according to the seller. No leaks or weeps are reported, and there are no noted clunks or thumps from the transmission.
The Opalescent Silver Blue finish is described as “very good, with no swirls.” The finish appears to present strongly in the photos. Noticeable pitting can be seen in the polished trim. No scratches or cracks are reported in the glass, and no evidence of water leaks. The rear hatch seal is pointed out as damaged. Minor seal damage can also be seen above the rear bumper and below the taillights, and slight rust appears between the polished trim and the painted rear valance. No rust is noted on the body panels, per the seller. All lights are said to work.
The restored tan leather interior appears complete and well maintained. Only slight creasing is observed on the driver’s seat. The front seats are reported to have full range of adjustment. The dashboard, leather trim, carpet, headliner, and dome light are all described as “good.” All interior trim, controls, and gauges are complete. An aftermarket AM/FM cassette player is said to be “in good working condition.” The windows and locks are manual. A “possible” issue is reported with fuel gauge. The heat, air conditioning, and clock are not working, the seller says.
There is “no play or vagueness” in the power steering, in the seller’s words. The four-wheel independent suspension places disc brakes on all four corners, and no issues are reported with the brakes. Suspension service is unknown. The shocks and bushings are described as “good,” with no leaks or cracks. The polished steel wheels and center caps more often found on other Jaguars appear on this E-type and appear to show no curb damage. No information is provided regarding the age of the 205/70R15 Michelin HydroEdge tires.
The seller states that this vehicle will be sold on a clean California title in her name. She also confirms that all receipts for work performed during her father’s ownership since 1999 will accompany the sale, as well as some receipts from the previous owner dating back to 1978. This once-restored 1970 Jaguar E-type Series II presents strongly overall, with known needs and in a condition that could be raised to a higher level with a bit of TLC.
