So here is the history and here is what has recently been done to this beauty. The vehicle was purchased by the second owner in the early 70's. In 1990/1991 the vehicle was parked in a garage and there it sat, it collected dust and many years later you could not even tell there was one of the most beautiful cars in the world just forgotten in a garage. Well I discovered this car and decided to restore it as a driver so it could be used. I own a Jaguar specialist shop and have restored dozens but I wanted a driver not a $100k+ investment you would not want to drive and I had no intention of trailering it anywhere, its the most beautiful car in the world and deserves to be driven.

First of all the carbs where stripped and rebuilt, the fuel system was flushed, the fuel tank was removed, acid washed and sealed/coated/lined. The radiator was cleaned, hoses and belts replaced, water pump was replaced, clutch slave cylinder, brake master cylinder, flush, rear pads etc, power steering lines all replaced. Brake floats replaced, alternator was rebuilt, cooling fans where restored, triple carb conversion was completed and the correct air box was added. The vehicle was power washed and checked for rust, no rust was found, some areas where then undercoated. All the chrome was removed, the car was stripped for paint. Car was painted and most of the seals where replaced. The dash top roll was re-upholstered The windshield was replaced with the correct double tinted glass. And new windshield seal was installed. The chrome was cleaned and reinstalled and the exterior was put back together.

Some of the chrome is not perfect, worst piece is the right rear bumper corner, the front motif bar also has a dent.

This is a matching numbers car except I believe the original color may of been silver as the engine bay frame is mainly silver (and black but black is fresher) although all the jams etc are white. The car was repainted off white (like old english)

The paint job is nice but is not a $20,000 job as this car was going to be a driver. Minor flaws, imperfections, dents, was not blocked for days and was not shell blasted or dipped. The interior was completely stripped and all new carpet, door casings (cards and cover) etc where replaced. The seats where done right before the vehicle went into storageand are in great condition The interior mirror was broken so it was replaced. The gauges where all foggy so they where all removed, stripped down and cleaned, the angle drive was not functioning so it was replaced on the back of the gearbox. The tach was not functioning so it was professionally rebuilt. The rear exhaust silencers where corroded so they where replaced with new. The fuel sender was not functioning so it was replaced with a new part. The handbrake - I added a gaitor/cover as I always thought they looked odd without one, it can be removed. Seat belts where all replaced as well as the console was re-upholstered.

The car had a vinyl convertible roof, it was in nice shape but is was grey and looked awful. I replaced the convertible roof with a black canvass one. The hard top ss original except for the paint. The rear window seal has shrunk and there is a gap in the back of the hard top but it DOES have all the chrome which is usually missing.

There was more done to the vehicle, but as you know when your tackling a project like this you lose track of all the little things that where done

The headlamps are the original lucas sealed beam and they work perfectly. All the electrical works good. The car runs like a champ

The car originally came with A/C, the compressor and condenser where removed but will be included with the vehicle as well as the original dual stromburgs and manifold and a few extra parts collected over the years. All will be included at no additonal charge

As you can see the vehicle has recently has a lot of money spent on it but its not a $130,000 trailer queen. Its looks like one but your not spending close to $100k

Doesn't really need anything else at this time

One more thing, the key for the ignition was lost so it does have a generic ignition barrel installed and the left part of the signal casing/column plastic is missing.

1969 E-type Series 2 4.2 liter roadster in Old English white with matching numbers, a factory hardtop, power steering in excellent condition. 49K miles since new. The car has had 3 owners - all in California. Originally, a southern California car first sold 9/18/1969. It was driven until 1980 when it was put in storage until 2013. In 2013 it was bought by a Jaguar mechanic for his own car and renovated. He sold it to me several months later when he decided to buy a house. I had a few small things done including replacing the tires and having the parking brake fixed. The car has factory air conditioning though its not hooked up. Also, the original 2 carburetors were replaced with a 3-carburetor setup as was used in the non-US models for better power - all original parts are with the car still. It has the original factory hardtop which is in excellent condition and in matching old English white. The original California plates are ZXZ627. The engine no. 7R5891-9, gear box KE7212, chassis no. P1R9711, body number R3907. Some of the exterior chrome was redone recently. The gas tank was just replaced. And there's a new stainless steel exhaust system. The original owners manual and "The Complete Official Jaguar "E" handbook, Workshop Manual and Special Tuning Manual" are included. I have all repair receipts since the mid 70's.
