This 1971 Jaguar XKE is a Series II Roadster that was acquired by the seller’s father in 1980 and refurbished in 2017. The car is finished in red over tan and powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a black soft top, black trim, a louvered hood, and 15″ wire wheels. Work since 2017 reportedly included rust repair, repainting the exterior, and refurbishing the interior. This XKE is now offered by the seller on behalf of their father with recent service records and a clean Virginia title

The exterior was refinished in red following rust repair in 2017. The trim is finished in black and the black vinyl soft top was replaced. The headlamp bowls were replaced, along with the hood strut and additional hardware. The seller notes missing hood and headlight trim.Silver-finished 15″ wire wheels are mounted with Goodyear tires that the seller states should be replaced due to age. Service in 2017 included replacing the brake lines and lubricating and adjusting the suspension. The seller notes that the power steering system has been removed.The cabin features seats trimmed in tan leather, along with matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes three-point seatbelts, a heater, and a passenger grab bar. Work during the refurbishment included recovering the seats, replacing the carpets and trunk mat, and repairing switches and the left door lock and window regulator. The radio has been removed and the glovebox door is stuck.The three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges mounted in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 89k miles, approximately 8k of which were added during current ownership.

The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual carburetors and drives the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox. Service in 2017 included fluid changes and replacing the fuel filter, fuel tank sump seal, clutch cylinders, and carburetor seals.
