Ebay item 4/6/15
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-leather-/121614690868
Current bid US $1,905 reserve not met 13 bids 6 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
1972 v12 jag e type, the car has spent its life in dry climate south texas , the motor was disassembled and off the road for almost 20 years , it was stored inside for nearly the whole time, it is super straight and has been painted in the original light blue one time it appears, the car is very nice and very complete. I bought this car because I love jags and I am a jag expert of sorts and have owned over 50 of them, I intended to fix the motor and use it, that was around 16 years ago, then I sold it to another jag lover /mechanic down here that kept it for around 15 years in his garage same story never any time or ambition, so then about a year ago I bought it back, I then took it to a good local mechanic that was all enthused about the project and after he kept it over a year he stalled out but he did overhaul the motor and put in a new clutch and painted this and powder coated that etc . He got in a bad car wreck and can not finish it. I have decided to sell it or trade it for one that is running and driving, so if you have a jag or other vehicle that is useable and you want a project we can talk. I have a clear texas title and the car is very complete and nice original leather and carpets, even has the original lucas headlights, etc the car will buff out and clean up great the way it is with only a couple minor paint chips, the chrome is great, the wheels look fantastic, this car can be a show car or race car or maybe put the weber carbs on it whatever you prefer. with these cars becoming more rare and valuable it is worth fixing. It has the 4 speed manual , the factory air conditioning, the wire wheels and is the last year for the pretty chrome bumpers. the car and parts is together and it rolls so it can be shipped.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
