28,500 MILES, ON EBAY 04/08, SELLER WRITES: 1973 XKE Jaguar Series III 2+2 V-12. Car is a complete running unrestored XKE. This is an orignial California car (have copy of Ca title) in British Racing Green with Biscut (tan) interior, auto trans and factory air conditioning. The car has only 28,500 miles. The V-12 was recently tuned, all filters changed and with perfect oil pressure at idle (80 psi), the carbs (all 4) were cleaned up and reset and the compression in all 12 cyclinders is at factory spec's. All suspension componets: shocks, ball joints, rear end etc., were rebuilt or replaced (the car suffered from lack of use) and rides remarkablely smooth. The entire brake system was competely replaced or rebuilt. New Michelins were just put on factory steel wheels last week. The body is solid and rust free, floor pans are original and clean. Has a few minor paint chips and a very small dent (1/2") on right front fender from driving. Also include are a 1973 Jaguar Factory Shop Manual and the original glove box owners manual in the matching vinyl jacket. This car is considered a "driver" and while is pretty darn good shape, in not restored. It could be an easy restoration or better yet-a hell of a Sunday car just as it sits. Well restored models are currently selling into the $100,000 range and driver into the $50,000 area. The values are currently experiencing a resurgance in values and will only go up in years to come. Many of the US cars (Left hand drive) are currently being bought up and sold back into Europe. I was told that only 758 of this model was produced that year with a survival rate of around 50%. It is a true street legal race car and a true head turner. Wife feels that I have too many cars and want the herd thinned out and since I like sleeping indoors.... I bought this car years ago on E-bay sight unseen but now realize that it wasn't the brightest thing I had done in all my e-bay buys. I would suggest that if possible, you come and look at the car. I will do my best in answering questions or getting additional photo's. E-mail for additional photo's, discuss viewing or any questions that you might have.

28,553 miles, on ebay 08/08, seller writes: Jaguar XKE Series III V12 2+2. Manufactured 3/73. Borg Warner automatic transmission. Last year for the Coupe. 28,553 original miles. Car is a complete running unrestored XKE. This is a original California car (have copy of CA title) in British Racing Green with Biscuit (tan) interior, and factory air conditioning. This rust free California vehicle was sitting in storage for 10 years. We just took it out of storage and completely serviced the car. The fuel system was overhauled. This included a new fuel tank, sending unit and rebuilt carbs. The brake system was rebuilt with a new master cylinder, new calipers front and rear, with new shoes and rotors all the way around. The rear differential assembly was removed from the car (which is mandatory to service the rear brakes) and the rear differential was cleaned, serviced and repaired as required. Four new shocks were added to the car as well as four new Michelin tires on the factory steel wheels. Cooling system was flushed and cleaned. The engine was completely tuned, the compression checked and the oil pressure tested. Vehicle has high oil pressure at idle and after warm up. All fluids have been changed, and the transmission has been serviced. Charging system was tested and checked and a new battery was installed. Also included are a 1973 Jaguar Factory Shop Manual and the original glove box owners manual in the matching vinyl jacket.

The Firewall VIN plate reads as follows:
