It would appear the silver/red car entered here in '07 is a misread of the VIN, the white/dark blue car appears on ebay in the US 2/11/15 with documentation.
MotorCarTrader.com is thrilled to offer this very special 1973 Jaguar E-type Series III V12 Roadster. This great Jaguar was built on November 9 of 1973 and the original colors were white with a white hard top and a dark blue interior. The car was dispatched on January 17 of 1974. The first owner did not purchase this car until June 12 of 1975 when she traded in her Stingray Corvette for this wonderful car. This E-type was titled as a 1973 to avoid California Emission restrictions at the time. It is an original, rust free California car. The very first owner worked three jobs to pay for this car. She was school teacher and then used this car to drive back and forth from California to Nevada. She drove this car, and that is what they are for. During her 32 year ownership of this car, she carefully took care of this car and it was her baby. The climate in CA and Nevada helped, but she also maintained the original interior by treating it with leather cleaner and conditioner and cleaning the carpets with any sign of dirt. This great car still has the original interior and is still in excellent original condition with minimal wear for a 40 year old car. On December 6th of 2007 she concluded her ownership of this car and sold it to a Jaguar collector. She even took the time to write 7 pages of hand written notes about the car and the little idiosyncrasies regarding this particular car and Jaguars in general.

The new owner had a nice original car, but wanted to make the car reliable so he could drive it with no issues (relatively speaking for a Classic Jaguar). He commissioned one of the best Jaguar Series III specialists in the country to do a full mechanical rebuild/restoration of the car to make it an exceptional driver. In the late winter of 2009, the car picked up and a full mechanical rebuild/restoration was completed. We have a detailed log of all the work done and invoices over $60,000 invested. In the fall of 2014, he contacted us to let us know he was offering this great car for sale. We purchased the car from him. It had only been driven less than 200 miles since the car was completed and needed a bit more driving, so we placed about 50 miles on this car sorting it out, going through brakes etc. and getting the car to be a great driver. Also, we refreshed the paint in some areas as needed and wet sanded the entire car. More details and notes on this great car:

The original documentation is available including the original Passport to Service with the original owners name (proof of original ownership) and original dealership. In addition, this shows this Jaguar e-type as an original CA car. Also, original owner's manual, original shop manual, radio warranty and Jaguar maintenance chart.
The rare original hardtop in rare white goes with the car and looks really great on the car. In fact, most of the time I have been driving it is with the hard top on the car. The soft top was replaced some time ago. It is not the original one that came on the car, but is older.
The seats and interior on this car are original. The driver side headrest has some separation of the material due to age, but there are no other tears and the rest of the interior is in great original condition.
The car runs and drives excellent with great oil pressure and holds temperature well. The car shifts nicely between gears (automatic) and is a pleasure to drive. The Air Conditioning does work great and blows cold air.
As expected on an original car, all body panels fit excellent and doors close very easy.
The underside, original floors and rocker panels are all solid. A new stainless steel exhaust was installed and the previous owner opted for the earlier Series III four vent rear exhaust pipes rather than the two (which would be original for this year).
The original radio is in the car and we do have the original radio warranty to go with it . Of course it has since expired.
This is a matching numbers car and comes with the Heritage Certificate as well as the original Passport to Service which confirms the original engine number as well.

The Jaguar presented here is a wonderful overall car to drive and enjoy. It has great ownership history and mechanically has been restored to be a perfect driver. A truly stunning car and a great investment car as Jaguar E-types continue to appreciate, and cars with great ownership history are usually the ones that are most desirable.

This automobile is available for inspection in Cornelius, NC.

Further to my comment above about the silver/red car it has been confirmed by JDHT the white/dark blue car is in fact UE1S23984BW. The identity of the silver/red car is unknown at this point.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
