Sold new on June 30, 1975 at Weber & Cooper British in Ontario, CA to Dr. Jim Vander Dussen, this Jaguar began its charmed life. Meticulous maintenance is evidenced by the multiple stamps in the Passport to Service at the same dealership.
Sold in 1977 to the second (and last) owner in nearby Whittier, the Jaguar took a coveted place in his garage alongside his wife's white cat.
Used sparingly as a sunny-day-only toy, our green Jaguar for auction here has covered a total of only 28,149 miles since new and was pampered like a favorite child. The oil was religiously changed and the car was often started and driven around the block just to keep healthy.
Services were performed at Britalia Import Auto Service in Fullerton, CA.
With factory hardtop and wire wheels, this Series III Roadster is the epitome of Britishness. Still wearing 100% of its factory applied coat of British Racing Green paint, the buttery finish oozes character and displays a patina that is irreplaceable.
There are no major blems, just a few small dings, chips, scuffs & scratches.
Please note there is no soft top or frame.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
