This 1967 Jaguar XKE Series I roadster is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue over dark blue leather and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six linked to a four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car was purchased by the late owner in 1985, and an eight-year build was subsequently completed in 1993. Equipment includes a blue convertible top, a top boot, enclosed headlights, 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, dual exhaust outlets, and a solid state AM/FM radio. This XKE Series I roadster is now offered by the seller on behalf of the late owner’s estate with a car cover, service manuals, and a clean New Jersey title.
The car is finished in Opalescent Silver Blue and features a blue convertible top and a color-coordinated top boot. Additional exterior details include enclosed headlights, a louvered clamshell hood, wraparound chrome bumpers, bright trim, dual side mirrors, triple windshield wipers, and dual exhaust outlets. Scrapes are visible on the bottom of the front bumper.
The 15″ wire-spoke wheels are secured by two-eared knock-offs and are mounted with 185-section Avon Radial Steel tires. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard rear rotors.
The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in dark blue leather along with color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Interior appointments include black vinyl dash trim, a sliding rearview mirror, a solid state AM/FM radio, and a heater. Wear is noted on the driver’s seat outer bolster.
The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer and a 6k-rpm tachometer, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 37k miles. The title lists the mileage as 66,947, and the total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six features triple SU carburetors and was factory rated at 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a full-synchromesh four-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
