Seller Private
The subject of a complete restoration, this Opalescent Maroon 1967 Jaguar E-type Series I Open Two-Seater (or OTS, Jaguar’s term for the convertible) is avowed to look and drive like new. A multiple award-winning example of the E-type, the car has twice been named Best in Class at the Lake Mirror Classic held in Lakeland, Florida. A few mechanical upgrades have been implemented to improve the Jaguar’s drivability. These include a larger aluminum radiator and fan, a 90-amp alternator, Wilwood front disc brakes, a five-speed manual transmission, and a high torque starter. All replaced components will ship with the car, should the new owner wish to reverse the mods. Documented by the Jaguar/Daimler Heritage Trust, a copy of the E-type’s factory build sheet will accompany the car. Indicative of his attention to detail, the seller says the original Blaupunkt radio works, as does the clock.
The Jaguar retains the original 4.2-liter DOHC inline-six.
Factory-stated output was 265 horsepower and 283 lb-ft of torque.
A five-speed manual transmission has replaced the original four-speed.
The original four-speed transmission and driveshaft will accompany the car.
No weeps, leaks, or powertrain issues are cited.
The Opalescent Maroon paint is said to be in “near perfect” condition.
No convertible roof problems are cited.
No crash damage, dents, dings, leaks, or other body issues are noted.
Upholstered in black leather, the interior shows well in the photographs.
The dash, instruments, accessories, and heat have no reported concerns.
Steering, suspension, and brakes are in "excellent" condition, with no issues noted.
COMES WITH
A copy of the Jaguar/Daimler Heritage Trust certificate of authenticity is included.
A copy of the factory build sheet is also included with the E-type.
The factory tool kit, jack and handle, knock-off hammers, and grease gun are included.
A convertible top boot cover will come with the car.
Original versions of all upgraded components will ship with the car.
Copies of receipts detailing the restoration work are included.
An extensive library, including the factory service manual, is included.
The seller is also including a Union Jack flag.
NEEDS
No needs are cited.
The seller states that this vehicle will be sold on a clean Colorado title in his name. Additional documentation includes copies of the factory build sheet, a certificate of authenticity from Jaguar/Daimler Heritage Trust, and all receipts pertaining to the restoration. By all indications, this is a no-expense spared restoration, which is reflected in the appearance and mechanical condition of this 1967 Jaguar E-type Series I OTS. Modifications have been made to improve the Jaguar’s roadability, but all available replaced components will ship with this convertible. And yes, the seller says the E-type drives just a good as it looks.

For sale is my numbers matching 1967 Series 1 XKE that underwent a 100% nut and bolt restoration by Tsikuris Classics of Lakeland, FL. The JDHT certificate and a copy of the factory build sheet is included with sale. The car was built in January of 1967 and delivered in February. The car was restored to the original color combination of Opalescent Maroon with a black interior. Please note, the standard interior colors were either tan or maroon, but any color could be ordered. My car was ordered with the black interior. It was important to me to keep the factory color combination, the car looks better than when it came from the factory. It won best in class at the Lake Mirror Classic two years in a row. It has about 750 miles since the restoration. It was serviced about 4 months ago (oil change, lube, new tires). The tires were fine but the date code was past, so they were replaced. All of the receipts and restoration photos are available.
Here is a brief description of the car. All work done by Tsikuris Classics.
Opalescent Maroon with Black interior (factory combination)
Original Blaupunkt AM/FM/SW radio (restored and is working)
BAS Interior
T5 Tremec 5 Speed by the Driven Man (the speedometer was rebuilt and calibrated to account for the 5th gear, so the speedo is accurate)
Original transmission and driveshaft included
All gauges rebuilt - clock works
Electronic ignition (not visible, inside distributer)
90 Amp alternator (replica of original just more power), original included with sale
Hi-torque starter (original included with sale)
Aluminum racing radiator and fan (original radiator included with sale); much better for cooling
Koni shocks
Wilwood front brakes
Original toolkit and jack with two knockoff hammers
New tires (Hendrix wire wheels provided the original wheels, tires and tubes, the tubes are racing inner tubes) An extra set of regular inner tubes is included)
15 x 5 72 Spoke Chrome and stainless steel wheels
Recent factory service completed by a very experienced British Car shop
Any new metal was sourced from Martin-Robey in England - not China!
Replica 1967 Lucas Battery
No expense was spared in this restoration. The car drives better than new and runs great. Inspections and test drives welcome! Driving the car with the top down is an awesome experience, if you've never driven a well sorted E-type. The car gets a lot of attention at car shows. Stunning.
