As at October 2025 the current Victorian
registration HPJ7C matches the original UK number.

Advertised for sale on carsales.com.au on 21 October 2025, asking AUD$290,000. Car is in South Melbourne, Victoria. Seller’s description (edited): “Low mileage classic in its original spec’ and in outstanding condition. Only 28,087 fully documented miles. Finished in its original blue unblemished paint with a full red leather interior. Originally sold through Coombs and Sons of Guildford Surrey in April 1965, it was subsequently bought back by the dealership principle John Coombs in 1972 and became a part of the Catherine House Car Collection where it was maintained and driven sparingly until 1994. Then, two subsequent documented owners prior to private importation to Melbourne, Australia in 2013. Maintenance has been regular and done without concern for cost ensuring an extraordinary driving experience. The car has all original books, service record, receipts and a Jaguar Heritage Certificate. Comes complete with Victorian registration HPJ7C that matches the original UK number plate that adorns the front bonnet”.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
