New Engine & Head Rebuild

This is an opportunity to own a superb Australian delivered Etype that you can just get in and drive away. At the time of advertising, since the engine and head were rebuilt, the car has been driven 1,160 miles (1,866 kilometers). The engine rebuild was undertaken by a well-known Sydney Jaguar expert. The car has matching numbers and has been confirmed as a Bryson Delivered Australian Car. Key Points: • A new 5 speed transmission was installed without any modifications to the console or any mechanical alterations. • The car has had a bare metal respray and is finished in Gasurit paint • The dash and leather trim are in excellent condition and the roof lining is new. • The rear K Frame suspension is restored with new bushings and new bearings. • The drive shaft is new (this was supplied together with the new transmission) - the original is with the car. • The newly fitted front subframes are of a higher material specification, yet undetectable in appearance to original Jaguar frames. • The fitted Dunlop type alloy rims improve the balance and handling of the car, giving it a smooth and direct drive with excellent stability on the road or highway. • A high torque starter motor is fitted to the car (original is supplied with the car) • An electronic distributor, (not a kit), is fitted to the car (timing remains constant) • The original distributor is with the car. • A brass header tank has been fitted to match the original steel tank. • An aluminium overflow tank has been fitted • The speedometer has been rebuilt and calibrated with a dual KPH / MPH dial face (original MPH dial with the car) • The radiator is original however silicone radiator hoses have been fitted which replicate the look of the original Etype hoses together with a new water pump as per the original design. • Any mechanical upgrades can easily be returned to stock. As an example, the upgraded larger front disc brakes, are easily removed and the original brake calipers bolted back onto the car.
