Note, though listed as a '68 it is likely a '67. 1968 model year cars were federalized, with emission controls and Series 2 style interiors and were tightly controlled by the US gov. to meet those specifications. This car has no '68 features except for open headlights which occurred in January of '67, '68 cars started being built at the end of 1967.

This 1968 Jaguar E-Type Fixed Head Coupe is finished in British Racing Green over black leather interior. Powered by the original 4.2-liter inline-six engine mated to a 4-speed manual transmission, this matching numbers E-Type is an early series 1.5 coupe being the 71st example produced documents with a Heritage Certificate. The XKE underwent a full restoration in 2017.Finished in British Racing Green, the exterior received a complete professional repaint from the original color during its restoration. Features specific to the Series 1.5 examples include open headlights along with tail lights mounted above the rear bumperettes, which are said to be original to the car.Chrome plated knock-off 15” wire wheels are rounded out by Vredestein Classic Sprint tires measuring 185/70 all around.The black leather interior underwent restoration, receiving new seat leather and foam, headliner, carpet set, dash top, door panels and interior panels. Do not bid or pursue this car. This is a scam. I contacted the owner because it was being sold on Facebook marketplace. Fake user on Facebook. Once I started digging they deleted that Facebook account and their scam ad.

Originally delivered to the USA and understood to have spent time in California, this E-Type Series 1.5 was imported to the UK in 1994 and treated to a ground up restoration and conversion to RHD. Purchased from the restorer in 2001 by our lady owner vendor, it has been much loved and enjoyed since on numerous UK and European trips whilst being garaged and unused over the winter months. Always maintained in the current ownership on a money no object basis, it benefits from a Thatcham immobiliser, Kenlowe fan and upgraded starter. In 2023 over £2,000 was spent on mechanical fettling and a new speedo cable and angle drive was fitted in 2025 at a cost of £1,200. Finished in red with black leather, it is reluctantly offered from its long term custodianship and accompanied by a tool roll, a large collection of invoices, photographs of the restoration and Swansea V5C.
