Series 1 example presented in its factory-correct shade of Opalescent Maroon.
It is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre inline-six, driving the rear wheels through a four-speed manual gearbox.
The seller notes that the fitted transmission is a Jaguar XJ6 unit with overdrive.
The car has reportedly been in the seller’s family since 2004.
Significant refurbishment work during the current family ownership, including an engine rebuild in 2018, a repaint, electrical rewiring, and reconditioning of the differential and brakes.Accompanying paperwork is said to include more than 30 pages of service-history documentation and detailed hard-copy breakdowns covering the work summarised in the listing material.
The seller states that the car was originally registered as TWP 369F, and that the current registration of ‘BIL 6863’ is included in the sale.
The most recent documented service took place in August 2023, which included engine oil and filter, and fitment of new tyres and tubes.
New shock absorbers were installed in April 2024.
During the current family ownership, the car is said to have undergone significant refurbishment work including an engine rebuild in 2018, replacement of the floorpan, a repaint in the factory colour, replacement of the boot floor and inner wings, relining of the fuel tank, refitting of windows and rubbers, differential reconditioning, brake reconditioning, replacement of the radiator header tank,stainless-steel exhaust, replacement of the roof lining, and rewiring of the electrics for 12-volt use.
